In July, I taveled to Oshkosh, Wisconsin to visit the EAA Airventure 2008 event. Here are several of the photos I took.

AV-8B Harrier II
Built by McDonnell Douglas, the AV-8B Harrier II is a vertical/short takeoff and landing (V/STOL) multirole jet aircraft used by the United States Maring Corp.
Boeing 747 Dreamlifter
Used to transport large components for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, the Dreamlifter is a heavily modified Boeing 747. This is the third Dreamlifter built. A fourth unit is under construction.
F-22 Raptor
Manufactured by Lockheed Martin and Boeing, the F-22 Raptor is the most advanced fighter in the world.
DC-3
The Douglas DC-3 was one of the most important aircraft designs of all time. As usual, several DC-3s came to Oshkosh this year.
Boeing 707
Developed in the early 1950's, the Boeing 707 was the worlds first commercially sucessful jet airliner. This example, owned and flown by actor John Travolta, is painted in a 1960's Quantas livery.
Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker
The Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker is an aerial refueling aircraft used by the United States Air Force and several others. Over 800 KC-135 aircraft have been built since 1956.
McDonnell Douglas KC-10 Extender
Based on the DC-10 airliner, the KC-10 Extender is a aerial refueling aircraft used by the United States Air Force.
